What an adorable hot pad!
I'm not sure Cappuccino Flats are my *favorites*, but they're definitely up there:

Cappuccino Flats

Ingredients:
2 squares (2 ounces) unsweetened chocolate
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup shortening
½ cup butter
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons instant coffee
2 teaspoons water
1 egg
1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons shortening

Instructions:
•Melt unsweetened chocolate, stir, and cool slightly.
•Mix flour, cinnamon, and salt.
•Beat shortening and butter with mixer; add sugar/brown sugar. Dissolve coffee in water and add. Add melted chocolate and egg, beat well. Add flour mixture and beat.
•Cover and chill 1 hour or more.
•Shape into two 7-inch rolls, wrap, and refrigerate overnight (6 hours).
•Cut into 1/4 inch slices and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
•Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350º.
•Melt chocolate chips and shortening, and dip half of each cookie; set on waxed paper to cool and set.
