The next item on my list to sew, was some pants for Oscar. It's starting to get really warm here so I probably should have done shorts, but I just LOVE this pattern for pants, so it had to be done. Next time maybe I'll just shorten the pattern.
You might recall I made some, pretty much identical to these for Silas a few years ago. The green was a little brighter, and the size was bigger. I LOVED them. Silas LOVED them. I'm sure too that Oscar LOVES them.
This pattern is called the Nowhere Man Pants, by Shwin and Shwin. I made a size 12-18 months size. Oscar just turned 2, but the 2T seemed like it might be too big. I'm afraid that these won't fit him too long, so I'll be making another pair soon.
Love the tag on the bum. Cute pockets.
And an action shot...

KCWC: day 4
I'm constantly amazed to see all that everyone finishes in just an hour or two of sewing each week. Brilliant.
Decided to do a quickie for today. I've never tried the Oliver + s lazy days skirt, but always wanted to. Technically it's actually not all the way finished. I'm waiting for some cute ribbon to come by mail. I waited too long to order it, but it should be here by tomorrow. (fingers crossed)
It's out of a gray linen. It was supper easy, and perfect for a lazy day of sewing.
Hazel loved it. She took off the skirt she was wearing and wore this for the rest of the day, hem unfinished and all!
I did a little more cutting out for tomorrow. Another skirt for this little one. Unfortunately it will take longer than one day, I'm sure. Saturday.

Sewing for Boys: Easy Linen Shirt
Sewing for Boys, sew-along this month, was the Easy Linen Shirt. When I hear the word shirt, I don't automatically think "easy". Unless it's a raw edge raglan, like a couple months ago.
But I was pleasantly surprised. It was like the name stated... EASY. Minus the need for eating/sleeping, or mothering of children, I think this could be completed in an hour... perhaps minus the cutting too? I don't know, there are only 3 pieces, so even the cutting went quickly.
I embellished the sleeve with an "S". For Silas of course. He was very excited to be wearing an "S".
I shortened the sleeves also, since it's already quite warm here. So, I LOVED the pattern. LOVED how the shirt turned out. LOVED how easy it really was!
